Fussy is the perfect description. For peace of mind we used some of our own drywall anchors and screws for the vertical mounts that weren’t hitting a stud. I don’t think any of them were toggle bolt, just basic plastic anchors.

Were you able to mount the Ikea shelves using just the hardware that came with them? We didn’t have studs in the right spot, so we switched to using toggle bolt anchors….but now the bolts don’t fit through the Ikea mounting hardware. Did you run into any of these problems? The shelves look great but they are soooo fussy!
