Bertel Thorvaldsen has a beautiful statue there since its completion in 1838. Enjoy going around and playing in the beautiful gardens of Tivoli in Copenhagen, North of Copenhagen is Frederiksborg Castle that is home to many of Danish artist, Carl Heinrich Bloch’s paintings, go to Odense and see Hans Christian Anderson’s house, tour Egeskov castle and grounds and 90 min from there on the mainland is the original Legoalnd. April 16th is Queen Margrethe II’s birthday, that may impact some closures as with other holidays surrounding Easter. Check out changing of the guards at Amalienborg Palace. Beautiful country. Wonderful people and food, flowers, and design. Oh and get a VAT refund form, fill it out and get your refund at the airport in Denmark before you leave- unless you don’t mind leaving your 25% Vat behind. Enjoy!
